Kettlebell Rx 1.0 Course

This course is a potent, action-packed, training-intensive experience suitable for both coaches and athletes. The curriculum is designed to accelerate your ability to learn, apply and master essential kettlebell skills and drills. Participants will glean insights that will add understanding and variance to their CrossFit® training. By attending this course, you will learn to move more efficiently, effectively and purposefully, resulting in better power output, endurance and overall performance.

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

 

  1. Improve their own and others’ performance through better biomechanics
  2. Quickly assess and correct common errors
  3. Perform a systematic progression of exercises with a single kettlebell: swings, cleans, push presses, snatches
  4. Perform a systematic progression of exercises with two kettlebells: swings, cleans, push presses, thrusters, snatches and the long cycle (clean and jerk)
  5. Increase endurance through movement-specific breathing cycles
  6. Understand and apply key elements of the Turkish Get-Up

 

Cyclical Endurance Course

In a collaboration with our friends at Functional Endurance, this course is focused around cycling reps and maximizing efficiency of movement in order to improve performance. We use kettlebells, rowing machines & ski ergs to illustrate these concepts, and help athletes and coaches alike apply the same principles to the rest of their functional training.

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

1. Understand the Hinge in all its variations
2. Correct common errors on the erg
3. Perform a systematic progression of exercises with a single kettlebell: low swing, clean, strict press, snatch, hand-to-hand snatch, windmill, snatch windmill, hand-to-hand snatch windmill
4. Understand and perform kettlebell movements with a partial, half, and full arc.
5. Increase endurance through movement-specific breathing cycles
6. Increase stability and time under tension

 

 

 

Base Strength Course

Base Strength is a specialty course that offers athletes and coaches new methods to increase variation in their training and develop tools to increase powerful hip extension. In this 8-hour course we split our instruction between “dead” kettlebell movements and sandbag movements. Base Strength will add an entirely new side of functional fitness to your facility or to your training with our sandbag curriculum. Many functional fitness gyms have kettlebells but they often go under-utilized, Base Strength will dramatically increase your cache of kettlebell training tools.

If you are a gym owner who hits a wall in their programming each week, this is an incredibly easy way to use tools you already have to bring new life into your gym! We provide sandbags at cost to any facility that is interested.

4 Hour Course

This course is a potent experience, appropriate for both coaches and athletes. The curriculum is designed to accelerate your ability to learn and apply essential kettlebell skills and drills. Participants will glean insights that will add understanding and variance to their CrossFit® training. By attending this course, you will learn to move more efficiently, resulting in better power output, endurance and overall performance.

 

2 Hour Intensive

This course targets one movement or series of movements as chosen by the host. Please contact us to inquire about hosting a 2 Hour Intensive.
